After landing at the Lucknow airport or from the train, you will meet our representative and commence a scenic drive of about 4 hours to Nepalgunj. Depending on the time availability, there is an option to visit the Bageshwari Temple, a famous temple of the locals (optional and at your own expense). Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel in Nepalgunj.

Start early with your flight of 45 minutes to Simikot, followed by 20 minutes of a helicopter ride to Hilsa. After crossing the Chinese check post, drive for another 45 minutes to Taklakot (3,900m). This high mountain town will be your resting place for the night.

Spend the whole day acclimatizing to the altitude at Taklakot. You may wander around the Tibetan market a bit and prepare yourself for the onward travel.

Drive for 90 km, around 1.5 hours, to Mansarovar Lake, crossing the mystic Rakshas Tal. On the way, have your first sight of Mount Kailash and Gurla Mandhata. You will complete the Mansarovar Parikrama(105km by bus) and perform some rituals like taking a dip and puja in the lake.
Meals: Breakfast at Taklakot, Lunch & Dinner at Mansarovar
After a short drive to Yamadwar(43km), the Gateway of the Lord of Death, you’ll witness your first up-close view of Mount Kailash’s south face. From here, the 12 km trek to Diraphuk begins, with the majestic west face of Kailash keeping you company.
You can also continue with Darchen or Taklakot after returning from Parikrama. Horses are also available at Yamadwar at a personal cost.
This is the most spiritually intense day of the Parikrama.
You’ll pass the Dolma La Pass (5,700m), the highest point of the yatra. Here, take a moment to pause, reflect, and release. Many leave symbolic offerings at the top. After crossing the pass, descend carefully to the sacred Gaurikund, a place rich with myth and silence.
The trail then follows a scenic river, leading you to Zuthulphuk, where you’ll rest for the night, soulful, tired, and transformed.
Completing the final journey of an 8 km walk toward Maniwall. At the end of the trek, you’ll be picked up and driven back to Darchen, where you’ll reunite with the rest of your group and get back to Taklakot for an overnight and rest.
After breakfast, you’ll drive to the border and cross into Hilsa. A helicopter ride over the Himalayas will take you back to Simikot.
If weather permits, we’ll aim for a same-day flight to Nepalgunj, bringing this incredible journey closer to home but forever etched in memory.
